Grass-Fed Dairy Improves Intestinal Health and Metabolic Factors Compared to Traditional Dairy

A new study has found that switching from traditional dairy to grass-fed dairy may improve your intestinal health and various metabolic factors.

In the study, mice were fed dairy every day for twelve weeks.  Half the mice received dairy from grass-fed cows, while half the mice received traditional dairy.  After twelve weeks, samples of plasma, liver, white adipose tissue, duodenum, jejenum, and colon were analyzed.  Despite consuming more overall calories, the mice who consumed grass-fed dairy had less fat mass, lower inflammation levels, and improved metabolic factors compared to the other group.

Conclusions

For those who are interested in improving their health, switching from traditional dairy to grass-fed dairy is well worth the effort.
