Pelvic Parameters Influence Changes Over Time in Upper Body Posture

Researchers used x-rays of 135 adults to track changes in posture over the course of 10 years.

Adults with a low pelvic incidence at baseline were more likely to develop a slouched posture 10 years later.

Conclusions

Management of posture may necessitate interventions to the hips and pelvis due to the interconnected influence on spinal curves during gait.
